Houghton County 72-Hour Release Search

If the person left, ask for the recorded date and time, authority or release type, and whether the destination was the community or another custodian. This avoids calling a transfer a release.
Commercial booking mirrors are not a substitute. A recent arrest or booking entry proves neither a later release nor the type of departure. The best three-day result links the Sheriff’s custody entry to the court authority and any receiving system.

The Houghton County Work Camp needs special care. An approved participant may leave temporarily for work while remaining in county custody. That work trip is not a final discharge. A move from the Corrections Facility to the camp also is not community release. Ask for the final county custody end date and the legal basis for it.

A bond payment is also not the endpoint. The Sheriff links an online payment route, but a hold, another case, transfer instruction, or processing step can remain. Call Corrections after payment when immediate status matters. Then use the release entry as the durable timestamp.
Houghton County Release Archive Gap
Zero browser visibility does not mean zero retained records. Michigan’s local law-enforcement retention schedule describes jail inmate jackets that may contain booking cards, release forms, property forms, transfer papers, bonds, warrants, and other custody material. A released person may disappear from a current-custody list, but Houghton has no browser list to begin with.
